About the 285 Express Lane Alliance

The 285 Express Lane Alliance is a community advocacy group working to inform, organize, and give residents a stronger voice as the proposed I 285 Eastside Express Lanes project moves through planning, design, and public review. Our focus is on the communities along the Perimeter that may be affected by new express lanes, elevated ramps, interchange changes, construction disruption, traffic impacts, noise, light pollution, tree loss, and changes to neighborhood quality of life.

Our goal is to make sure residents have clear information, meaningful opportunities to participate, and a way to speak collectively about the potential impacts of this project. We are working to bring more individuals into the conversation, share accurate project updates, encourage public participation, and make sure GDOT and decision makers hear directly from the people who live, work, worship, learn, and do business along the I 285 Eastside corridor.

We support responsible transportation planning. We also believe better mobility must come with strong neighborhood protections, transparency, and real community engagement before final decisions are made.
